HOUSTON — A teen girl accused of making threats against Memorial High School will stay in juvenile detention, a juvenile court judge decided after hearing from the girl’s mother.

The teen is accused of creating a plan to place pipe bombs at Memorial High School and then carry out a mass shooting. Spring Branch ISD Police Chief Larry Baimbridge said the FBI alerted him about the threat on Tuesday.

“I received a call from one of the agents that we work with. I could tell from the tone of his voice that this was serious,” Baimbridge said. “This is by far the most serious threat and certainly the most detailed in the planning.”

Baimbridge said the threat included notes on the layout of Memorial High School and some strategies and tactics that the teen and another juvenile girl would use to kill as many students as they could while also delaying the response of first responders.
