Harris County District Attorney’s New Dashboard on Crime

As of October 15, 2024:

  • There are 57,969 pending felony cases involving 41,948 defendants
  • 25,443 felony defendants in pending felony cases are fugitives (non-arrest)
  • 12,578 felony defendants are out on bond and 7,223 are in jail
  • 8,407 of the defendants in pending felony cases involve domestic violence
  • 9,929 of the defendants in pending felony cases involve crimes of violence other than domestic violence
  • 1,281 of the defendants in pending felony cases involve murder and capital murder
